On 30 June 2021, the UK (virtually) hosted Singapore for the 6th Annual Financial Dialogue.

At the Dialogue, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, and Senior Minister and Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Tharman Shanmugaratnam agreed a new Financial Partnership.

The Partnership is underpinned by a Regulatory Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will facilitate closer cooperation, greater information sharing and opportunities to boost trade and investment.

The UK and Singapore also discussed wider areas for future collaboration, including on Green Finance and FinTech. The Joint Statement sets out further details on the discussions.
