Details

This report analyses the qualification profile of the UK population in comparison with other member states of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Using qualifications as a proxy for skills, the report provides an assessment of the current skills profile of UK adults by qualification level and gender. In addition, by using past patterns of performance, the report provides projections of qualification attainment of working age people in 2020.

Projections are also made for all OECD member states, allowing assessment of the current and future position of the UK relative to its competitors in terms of the proportion of the working age population with low, medium, and high skills.
