As one of the key areas for the UK-China energy cooperation on policy, the British Embassy Beijing worked with external experts to draft a summary report on UK’s Electricity Market Reform (EMR) and the Contract for Difference (CfD) system (only available in Chinese). The report has been shared with China’s top energy policy maker, China’s National Energy Administration, and its major think –tanks.

China is also at the starting point of a new round of electricity market reform. The UK’s EMR policy will be a very good reference for the Chinese policy-makers to plan its own EMR, which will play a key role in China’s renewable development.
