around how the ultra-low emission taxi scheme will be designed. It is the beginning of a consultative process with those who have an interest in the scheme.

The scheme will be available to operators throughout the UK.

This scheme forms part of the £500 million package to grow the market for ultra low emission vehicles from 2015 to 2020.

In April 2014 the Office for Low Emission Vehicles announced would make at least £20 million available for an ultra low emission taxi scheme.
