The United Kingdom and Australia have agreed shared Antarctic priorities for the period 2015 to 2020.

Details

Through their respective delegations to the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM), the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) and their respective National Antarctic Programmes, the UK and Australia have identified priority areas to further underpin their historical close co-operation on Antarctic and Southern Ocean issues, for the period 2015 to 2020.

The document was announced as part of a visit to Hobart, Tasmania by the UK’s ice patrol vessel HMS Protector on 1 December 2015.
