This gives details of the different stages of claiming Universal Credit in a live service area, from making a claim through to looking for work and getting a full time job.
It provides information on:
- how Universal Credit is being introduced
- how to make an online claim
- what support is available when making a claim
It describes what happens once a claim has been submitted, including attending an interview with a work coach and accepting a Claimant Commitment. There’s also information about reporting changes in circumstances and what happens once the claimant gets a job.
