1. Are you ready to help grow the UK Space Sector?
The UK Space Agency is launching an exclusive, fully-funded programme to help catalyse private investment in the UK Space sector.
Over the past decade, the UK’s space sector has witnessed immense growth, fuelled by support from both government and private entities. The UK space sector is valued at over £16.4 billion annually, this industry is built on a solid foundation of successful public-private partnerships, an outstanding research and development base and an unwavering ambition to lead in space technology globally.
The UK has charted an ambitious course to capture 10% of the global space market by 2030, which translates to an annual revenue goal of £40 billion. While ambitious, this target is reflective of the growth and success in this space.
2. Unlocking Space for Investment: Business and Investor Pathway
Unlocking Space for Investment: Business and Investor Pathway is a fully-funded UK Space Agency programme that aims to catalyse private sector investment to support the growth of the UK space sector. This programme comprises of two parallel streams; the Investor Pathway and the Business Pathway.
2.1 Business Pathway
The Business Pathway is dedicated to supporting space sector businesses, or those in adjacent sectors looking to break into the space sector, to prepare for series A+ institutional investment. It offers tailored content and focused interventions that help businesses to get investor ready, helping to bridge the valley of death in reaching the growth stage.
2.2 Investor Pathway
The Investor Pathway is dedicated to supporting private investors seeking to capitalise on the developing UK space sector and leverage existing government investment. The programme will encourage investment in the sector by sharing knowledge and empowering investors, particularly those considering their first venture into space investment.
3. The application process (Starting October 2024)
We will be running two cohorts for each pathway in parallel. The first cohort will commence on 7 October 2024 and the second on 6 January 2025.
