The delivery of unpaid work has undergone a great amount of change in the past 2 years. June 26 2021 marked the first day of the unification of the Probation Service, including the in-housing of unpaid work delivery.
A process evaluation was undertaken to understand the delivery of unpaid work following the unification of probation services and explore the operational challenges of delivering unpaid work. The evaluation aimed to assess how unpaid work operated during Covid-19, and the delivery of unpaid work during the transition to the unified model.
