Sir Michael Wilshaw, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector (HMCI), wrote to the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP, Secretary of State for Education on 10 November 2015. In this advice note he raised concerns about the safety of children being educated in unregistered schools.

Later advice notes sent on 11 December 2015 and 16 May 2016 set out Ofsted’s progress in identifying unregistered schools and HMCI’s recommendations on further actions.
