The government is putting £270 million of new funding into a new Children’s Social Care Prevention Grant. This will be used to invest in the national rollout of Family Help, Child Protection and Family Group Decision Making. This note explains the children’s needs-based formula used to allocate this funding according to estimated need for children’s social care services. This note supersedes the note published at the provisional settlement and reflects the uplift to the grant that has been confirmed at the final settlement.
