The United States and the United Kingdom agree that the cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges. President Obama and Prime Minister Cameron recognized that the inherently international nature of cyber threats requires that governments work together to confront those threats.

This fact sheet outlines how the US and UK governments will strengthen and deepen their extensive cybersecurity cooperation through:

  • improving critical infrastructure cybersecurity
  • strengthening cooperation on cyber defence
  • supporting academic research on cybersecurity issues
