Nanomaterials are being used in an increasing number of different products on both the global and UK markets, including consumer products, which is increasing the chances of consumers being exposed to them. Nanomaterials are a wide class of materials that can be defined as having at least one external dimension within the range of 1-100 nanometres (nm). This report looks at consumer products that contain nanomaterials in the areas of cosmetics, toys, textiles (furniture and nightwear), and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
