Details

In September 2010, the DCMS Taking Part team ran the inaugural Taking Part user survey via Survey Monkey, which was sent directly to known Taking Part users.

51 people responded to the survey from which the main findings have been summarised.

Taking Part is the key evidence source for DCMS and was commissioned primarily to provide a single evidence source on participation in culture and sport. The survey is currently used to measure and inform departmental indicators, inform the development and impact of DCMS policy, and to understand the drivers and barriers of participation in cultural and sporting activities.
