Vertase F.L.I. Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata (Parkstone Sand) at 4 areas within the following National Grid References: Western Pond: SU 11198 12588, SU 11216 12585, SU 11215 12571 and SU 11198 12573. Northern Pond: SU 11238 12674, SU 11282 12668, SU 11258 12589 and SU 11227 12648. Central Low Point: SU 11246 12574, SU 11281 12570, SU 11275 12558 and SU 11255 12562. Hardstanding Area: SU 11307 12615, SU 11356 12622, SU 11373 12575 and SU 11312 12583.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 80 cubic metres an hour
- 800 cubic metres a day
- 14,500 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for the purpose of dewatering.
