The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has commissioned NatCen Social Research in partnership with RSM UK Consulting to conduct an evaluation of the Volunteering Futures Fund (VFF). The fund aims to support high-quality volunteering opportunities for young people and those who experience barriers to volunteering in DCMS sectors and across the voluntary and community sector. It also aims to test and trial solutions to known barriers through the use of informal, micro, flexible and digital volunteering approaches.
In preparation for this, this feasibility study has been developed by NatCen Social Research and RSM UK Consulting to provide evidence-based options for a robust evaluation. This paper includes:
- a theory of change for the programme
- a summary of funded projects
- recommendations for the approach for the main evaluation of the programme
