Details

The Planning Act 2008 provides for the establishment of a decision maker which will take planning decisions on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs). The Waste Water National Policy Statement (NPS) sets out Government policy for the provision of major waste water infrastructure. It will be used by the decision maker to guide its decision making on development consent applications for waste water developments that fall within the definition of a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) as defined in the Planning Act 2008.
