Every Local Weights and Measures Authority (LWMA) in GB is required to report its level of enforcement work over a 12 month period under Section 70 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985. Collated data is published in the reports on this page, as agreed with the Secretary of State. The information helps LWMAs prioritise areas for targeted inspections. Please note that reports were not produced for 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
Contact opssanalysis@businessandtrade.gov.uk if you have any enquiries.
Published details of our Section 70 reports are removed from GOV.UK after 5 years but remain available via the National Archives as a matter of public record.
