Details

The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) aims to provide a consistently high quality consular service for British nationals in detention overseas. We work in partnership with other organisations to provide assistance to British prisoners overseas.

We currently provide consular assistance to nearly 2,000 British people detained overseas. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we assisted approximately 5,000 arrest and detention cases a year.

We invite proposals from organisations with relevant expertise to partner with the FCDO’s Consular Directorate. This partnership will contribute to monitoring, supporting, and where possible improving the welfare and protecting the human rights of British people detained overseas.

Submit your completed project proposal form to ConsularPrisoner.Team@fcdo.gov.uk by 5pm (GMT) on 15 December 2021.
