Westminster City Council has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata known as Chalk at Ebury Bridge Estate Redevelopment at National Grid References TQ 28578 78457, TQ 28573 78419, TQ 28574 78437, TQ 28549 78217, TQ 28585 78285 and TQ 28561 78260.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

2,073 cubic metres a day

756,864 cubic metres a year
The water will be used for an open loop ground source heat pump.
