William Thompson, Anita Thompson and Penelope Thompson trading as Brattle Farm Partnership has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 9/40/03/0511/S which authorises the abstraction of water from watercourses at Collier Street at the following reaches: Reach 1: National Grid References (NGRs) TQ 71670 46700, TQ 71830 46210; Reach 2: NGRs TQ 71900 46500, TQ 71820 46210; Reach 3: NGRs TQ 72090 46260, TQ 72520 46120; Reach 4: NGRs TQ 72090 46060, TQ 72420 45940; Reach 5: NGRs TQ 71310 46680, TQ 71670 46700; Reach 6: NGRs TQ 71260 46530, TQ 71330 46110.
The variation applied for is to:
- Change one of the partners from Brian Dennis Thompson to Penelope Thompson
- Change the trading name from B D Thompson to Brattle Farm Partnership.
- Add an additional purpose of trickle irrigation with associated abstraction quantities of 10,000 cubic meters a year, 228 cubic meters a day, 19 cubic meters an hour (at 5.3 litres per second) and an abstraction period of 1 April to 31 October.
