The Secretary of State required the Council to provide updates to the Commissioners on their improvement progress after 3 months, 6 months and thereafter at 6-monthly intervals. The letter sets out the challenges facing the Council and the first steps taken in responding to them since the intervention began in May 2023, including the Council’s Improvement and Recovery Plan.
