A draft of a planned revision to Chapter 15 (Regulated Entertainment) of the amended guidance issued under Section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003 was deposited in Parliament on 10 November to assist with scrutiny of the Legislative Reform (Entertainment Licensing) Order 2014 and the clause on exhibition of films in community premises in the Deregulation Bill

It is now being published to provide advance notice to licensing authorities, legal advisors, and those who run licensed premises and community events of the intended reforms to the licensing of entertainment provision.

This draft guidance does not come into force until the Secretary of State formally lays amended guidance before Parliament. The intention, subject to Parliamentary approval, is that this will coincide with the coming into force of the above legislative changes to the Licensing Act 2003 on 06 April 2015.
