In July this year the Government published its response to the consultation on the future of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

This covered changes to the current scheme which ends in March 2015, and the establishment of a new phase of the scheme, with new targets, for the period from April 2015 to March 2017. The draft Order relating to the changes to the current period of the scheme to 2015 has already been laid in Parliament.

The draft Order relating to the new phase of the scheme is expected to be laid in Parliament shortly, and in the meantime is available as a working draft subject to Parliamentary approval.
