WR Hanson and Son: application made to abstract water

WR Hanson and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 4/30/13/*G/0351/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising sands and gravels from two catchpits at National Grid Reference (NGR) TF 23748 58156 and TF 24090 58081 at Bede Farm, Coningsby, East Lindsey, Lincolnshire.
The variation applied for is to increase the annual abstraction quantity from one catchpit (at NGR TF 24090 58081) from 3,410 cubic metres to 6,820 cubic metres. The overall hourly and daily abstraction rates for the whole licence will be reduced from 91 cubic metres per hour and 1,818 cubic metres per day to 40 cubic metres per hour and 720 cubic metres per day respectively.
