Yorkshire Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 2/27/05/030 which authorises the abstraction from surface water at National Grid References SK 24 91 and SK 26 92.
The application seeks to add a conditioned compensation flow of at least 3.3 megalitres per day to the licence, formalising a trial scheme undertaken as part of the Water Industry National Environment Programme. There is no proposed change to the licenced abstraction volume of 12,410,000 cubic metres per year.
