Bathing water quality statistics

This publication covers bathing water quality at a number of coastal and inland locations. The microbiological quality of bathing waters can be affected by pollution from agricultural and urban sources, discharges of sewage effluent, storm water overflows and river borne pathogens, all of which could have a significant impact on human health. Bathing waters are classified as Excellent, Good, Sufficient or Poor and the microbiological limits are set out in the Bathing Water Regulations 2013.

These statistics will be released on 8 November 2016 9:30am
