End of Life Care Profiles: July 2019 data update
We will update a suite of indicators, death in usual place of residence, with breakdowns by age (all ages, 0-64 years, 64-74 years. 75-84 years and 85 years and older) and by underlying cause of death (cancer, circulatory disease and respiratory disease) to include 2017 data for clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), local authorities (LAs) and higher geographies. The end of life care profiles are designed to improve the availability and accessibility of information around end of life care. The data are presented in an interactive tool that allow users to view and analyse them in a user friendly format. The profiles are designed to provide a snapshot overview across England. They are intended to help local government and health services to improve care at the end of life.
