Geographical inequalities in premature mortality in England, 21 March 2021 to 7 December 2023
Premature mortality rates for Upper Tier Local Authorities (UTLA) in England, dated between 21st March 2021 to 7th December 2023. Descriptive statistics are broken down by age, sex, ethnicity, Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), National Statistics – Socioeconomic Status (NS-SEC), and highest qualification. Includes estimated premature mortality rates (i.e., Incidence Rates) and outputs from Poisson regression models (i.e., Incidence Rate Ratios) that were used to explore geographical inequalities in premature mortality after adjusting for various sociodemographic factors. This work is commissioned by the Health Foundation and will aim to shed more light on the factors associated with geographical inequalities in premature mortality.
