Liver disease profiles: October 2018 update

The liver disease profiles provide data on one of the main causes of premature mortality nationally. The profiles are designed to support local authorities by providing data to allow them to assess the effect of liver disease in their areas and take action to prevent it. Indicators are presented by upper tier local authority, former Government Office region and England. Lower tier local authority level data are also presented, where available.

• Reason for change: The process for compilation of data for this release has recently been automated. Quality assurance highlighted a few small consistencies between the automated and expected results. We are currently investigating, resulting in an unavoidable delay in publication.
