This publication covers the year to 31 March 2020, which includes a period after movement restrictions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) were announced in March. The collection of passenger data is not granular enough to distinguish numbers of passenger journeys before and after the restrictions were announced. An indication of changes in bus passenger volume during this period can be found in the separate weekly release covering transport use during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
