Details
This series contains statistics on the area of non-food crops grown in the UK and their usage in bioenergy applications. This data includes:
• Areas of oilseed rape, sugar beet and wheat used for producing biofuels and maize for use in anaerobic digestion.
• Areas of miscanthus, short rotation coppice and straw crops grown as plant biomass.
• Trends in bioenergy use and generation from crops, including statistics from road transport fuel, electricity, and biogas sectors.
