Details

The Department for International Trade (DIT) national survey of registered businesses (NSRB) 2018 measures UK businesses’ self-reported exporting behaviours, plans and attitudes, alongside insights into their perceptions around barriers to exporting.

The survey data provide valuable information that allows for a better understanding of any changes over time in these behaviours, plans and attitudes among UK firms. The NSRB also gauges the factors which businesses say inhibit them from exporting and the support that businesses say they will need if they are to start exporting in greater numbers or volumes.

In addition, the survey data serves to inform the ongoing design and media planning of the Exporting is GREAT marketing campaign.

This release also contains specific analysis examining small and medium sized businesses’ views on these same topics.
