Details

Statistics on the number and pass rates of driving and riding theory and practical tests conducted in Great Britain for the year-ending March 2023 (April 2022 to March 2023), and also statistics on driving instructors.

In the year-ending March 2023, there were:

  • 2,431,000 car theory tests conducted
  • 1,689,000 car practical tests conducted

Compared with the year-ending March 2022, this was:

  • an decrease of 1% for car theory tests
  • an increase of 10% for car practical tests

The pass rate in the year-ending March 2023 was:

  • 44.2% for car theory tests
  • 48.4% for car practical tests
