Details

Statistics on the number and pass rates of driving and riding practical tests conducted in Great Britain, including statistics on driving instructors.

During January to March 2017, over a million practical and theory driving tests were conducted, of which:

  • 509,340 were theory tests
  • 521,420 were practical tests

an increase of 9.0%.

There were 21% more practical car tests than in January to March 2016. The number of tests is now higher than before the recession.
