Details

This publication publishes key indicators from the employer skills survey 2019 as official statistics. It covers England, Wales and Northern Ireland and includes insights on:

  • recruitment difficulties and skills lacking from applicants
  • skills lacking from existing employees
  • the nature and scale of training, including employers’ monetary investment

Further findings can be found in the full report employer skills survey 2019: UK (excluding Scotland).

All comparisons to 2017 are to England, Wales and Northern Ireland, excluding Scotland, who did not take part in the 2019 survey.

This data has previously been released in a different format. This is a practice release before the next release of data from the employer skills survey 2022. This will be released later in 2023.
