Details

The publication shows the long-term employment trends that have shaped the labour market for workers over the age of 50 since 1984.

The figures are broken down by gender and 5-year age band, thus providing longer and more detailed time series than the labour market statistics routinely published by the Office for National Statistics.

1. 14 November 2016

   Corrected figure in Table 1 on page 10 of the PDF. The 2015 rate for all in the 50+ category has been changed from 9.9% to 40.7%.
