This publication includes annual indicators that measure the environmental and social impact of food transport for UK consumers: urban food kilometres, heavy goods vehicle food kilometres, air food kilometres and cardon dioxide emissions from food transport. Transport of exported food is not covered.

The method used to produce the statistics is described in a separate document.
