Details

During the 2013 to 2014 season, the total number of arrests by Home Office police forces in connection with regulated international and domestic football matches involving teams from (or representing) England and Wales was 2,273. This represents a decrease of 183 arrests, or 7%, on the 2012 to 2013 total.

During the football season, police football intelligence officers submit a range of data, including arrest information, to the UKFPU. The UKFPU contains the Football Banning Orders Authority, which administers all football banning orders. The Home Office collates and publishes football-related arrest and banning order data annually.
