Revision 22/09/2023 An error was found in the Chapter 10 Tables – Mother and Baby Units, Pregnant Prisoners and Births. The figure for total number of pregnant prisoners for 2022-23 was revised from 196 to 194 women. The May 2022 pregnant women in prison figure was revised from 43 to 41 also. The commentary and graphs throughout chapter 10 on pregnant prisoners have been updated. The differences were small and the change does not affect the context nor interpretation of the figures.
