The total Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) applications, women and babies received into an MBU and mothers and babies in an MBU at year end in Table 10.1 for 2022/23 have been revised. The total Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) applications, numbers approved and refused, and women and babies received into an MBU in Table 10.1 for 2021/22 have also been revised. This corrects errors which were found due to manual data entry. The commentary has also been updated to include the revised figures.

The total number of Mother and Baby Unit Applications in 10.1 for 2023/24 has been revised to remove an application which was included in error. The line showing the number of pregnant women in prison in Table 10.2 and the data showing the number of self-declared pregnant women in prison per month for 2023/24 in 10.3 were found to be inaccurate. This was due to the inclusion of some duplicate records, some erroneous records, and some records of pregnant women which should not have been included. These records have now been removed and all figures revised.
