All public bodies that produce official statistics designated as national statistics have a statutory duty to comply with the UK Statistics Authority code of practice, as well as with the appropriate pre-release access order.

National statistics carry the round green and blue logo shown above.

This document explains how producers of statistics have to ensure that all their official statistics, regardless of designation, conform to the best practice principles set out in the code.
