These are the official statistics relating to the Income Support lone parent (ISLP) regime. They contains figures on lone parent work-focused interviews (WFIs) and ISLP sanctions up to June 2014.
Main findings
In the year up to and including June 2014, 580,000 WFIs were conducted with ISLPs.
In the year up to and including June 2014, 42,300 sanctions were imposed on ISLP customers. These sanctions were imposed upon 39,100 individual claims. This represents 5.6% of the ISLP client base in that 12 month period.
Corrections to data
We identified a minor issue with the processing of data which resulted in a slight over-count in the number of sanctions applied in the year to June 2014. The number of sanctions applied are shown in the executive summary and section 4.1 of this publication.
