Details

New hospital admissions data for the financial year ending 2022 has been added to the liver disease profile.

This update includes new data for 2 indicators in the liver disease profile:

  • hospital admissions for liver disease (persons, males and females)
  • hospital admissions for alcoholic liver disease (persons, males and females)

Liver disease is one of the main causes of premature mortality nationally. The profiles are designed to support local areas by providing data in a user-friendly format to allow them to assess the effect of liver disease in their areas and take action to prevent it.

Data is presented by county and unitary authority (upper tier local authority), former government office region and England. Districts and unitary authority (lower tier local authority) level data is also presented, where available.
