Details

Pig numbers on agricultural holdings in England on 1 December includes additional information relating to the estimates of pigs overdue movement or slaughter on 1 December and the number of pigs culled in October and November as a result of any back log on farms.

A follow-up survey of pigs (backlog and premature cullings) was run to ask for numbers of pigs overdue movement or slaughter as at 1 February 2022 and the number of pigs culled in December 2021 and January 2022 as a result of any back log on farms. Results are published in a separate release titled “Number of pigs overdue movement or slaughter on 1 February 2022”.
