Local tobacco control profiles for England

Details

The local tobacco control profiles data update for April 2023 has been published by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

These profiles have been designed to help local government and health services to assess the effect of tobacco use on their local populations. The data is presented in an interactive tool that allows users to view them in a user-friendly format.

This update contains:

  • smoking prevalence in adults (18+) - current smokers (GP Patient Survey (GPPS))
  • smoking prevalence in adults (18+) - ex smokers (GPPS)
  • smoking prevalence in adults (18+) - never smoked (GPPS)
  • smoking prevalence in adults (15+) - current smokers (Quality and Outcomes Framework)
  • smoking prevalence in adults with a long term mental health condition (18+) - current smokers (GPPS)
  • odds of current smoking among adults aged 18+ diagnosed with a long-term mental health condition (GPPS)
