The Annual Minerals Raised Inquiry (AMRI) survey collects, collates and publishes a comprehensive set of statistics for the production of minerals, by mineral type, such as:

  • industrial sand
  • sand and gravel
  • sandstone
  • igneous rock
  • dolomite
  • peat
  • crushed rock
  • clay and shale
  • fireclay and ore minerals

The survey covers all mineral working sites across Great Britain and also reports on the numbers of people employed at mineral working sites.
