Highlights

• Total landings by UK vessels increased in August 2022 compared to 2021, up 15 per cent. The value of landings in August 2022 (£83.5 million) decreased compared to 2021 down by 3 per cent.
• Pelagic species comprised the majority of landings in August 2022. This was driven by increased landings of Herring which is typically targeted in the late summer months (July – September).
