Highlights

• Total landings by UK vessels increased by 10% in August 2024 compared to 2023. The value of landings in August 2024 (£94.9 million) also increased, up by 3% compared to 2023.
• Landings in August 2024 comprised mostly of Pelagic species (68%) driven by higher uptake of Herring which are typically targeted within the summer months particularly the North Sea and Irish Sea stocks.
