Statistics on attitudes around travel and transport issues, asked of people who have completed the main National Travel Survey.
Questions in wave 3 were put to 2,694 individuals and includes responses on a wide array of topics, including:
- active transport (e.g. walking and cycling)
- road journeys and the environment
- road congestion
- road safety
- public transport
- transport and disability
Headline figures include:
- 48% of respondents are concerned about poor air quality in their immediate area
- 40% of respondents are concerned about noise pollution in their immediate area
- 61% of respondents have heard of carbon offsetting
- among respondents who are planning to purchase a new bicycle, 32% say they are likely to purchase an e-bike
