As a participant in the UK Working Party on Pesticide Usage Surveys, the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI), on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for Northern Ireland (DARDNI), conducts a cyclical programme of surveys to examine pesticide usage in all sectors of the agricultural and horticultural industries.

This report presents information from a survey of pesticide usage practices on soft fruit crops in Northern Ireland in 2014.

Soft fruit grown under permanent protection (glasshouse and polythene tunnel), outdoors under semi-protection (Spanish tunnels) and in the field without any protection were recorded in this survey.
